A musical based on the book by Cara Hoffman about Lauren, a female soldier in mental crisis who returns home and takes the younger brother she adores on an unannounced road trip with potentially disastrous results, prompting their depressive, shut-in of a father, played by Dean, to come after them.
This developmental reading is a 2026 NYSCA-supported musical in development at Ancram Opera House, written by Darrah Cloud, music and lyrics by Stephanie Salzman.
The performance will be November 8, 2026, at the Ancram Center for the Arts.
