Sometimes you luck out and someone drops a great role in your lap. Bootsie is that kind of role, a magical British Latin teacher who’s daily routine includes interruptions by ghosts. Director Courtney Laine Self invited me to play the part in Helen Banner’s play in progress “1989 and Hot” as part of Everyday Inferno Theatre Company’s 2016 Development Lab which culminated at the Access Theater last Saturday, and working alongside talented actors Meghann Garmany, Julia Christgau, and Rudi Utter was a real joy.
